Quarter 2 Update: Investment Planning

Hello and welcome to quarter two of your 2022 financial planning experience! We hope you have had a great first few months of the year. This quarter, our theme is focused on investment planning.

More specifically this quarter, we are focused on a few key topics we think are relevant. These include: The impact of inflation, a review of recent market conditions, how to efficiently use increases in income, and a framework for how to deal with market ups & downs. Please schedule time with me on any of these topics. As always, you can use this platform to schedule time on anything related to your financial planning, not just these topics.

It’s All Inside Your Head

Our Learn Me video this quarter focuses on the metal side of market volatility and risk. It is a normal response to have panic or uneasiness when investments dip but it is important to know how we, as humans, perceive these changes. We are hardwired to see the maximums when in fact, these changes may not be as extreme as we think. By looking at and understanding your brain’s chemistry you can help yourself cope with all sorts of money related relationships from saving, to giving, to earning and much more.

The Book of the Quarter

April of 2022 marks a 25-year milestone for the personal finance classic Rich Dad Poor Dad that still ranks as the #1 Personal Finance book of all time. And although 25 years have passed since Rich Dad Poor Dad was first published, readers will find that very little in the book itself has changed — and for good reason. While so much in our world is changing a high speed, the lessons about money and the principles of Rich Dad Poor Dad haven’t changed. Today, as money continues to play a key role in our daily lives, the messages in Robert Kiyosaki’s international bestseller are more timely and more important than ever.
